Why this one exists
A wife asked me to write a song for her husband. He was turning fifty.
We tried it — she told me about him, I wrote it, and she read it back and said: this would be better if he told you himself.
So he and I sat down. First thing out of his mouth was "I’m too old for this."
I said fifty’s about when you start dreaming about retiring.
He said, "too young for that."
That’s the song. And she knew him better than anyone alive — she still couldn’t have handed me those two lines, because they only existed in his mouth.
When she heard it, she cried. Then she looked at him and said, "you ain’t too old for me."

Can I keep it a surprise?
Absolutely. We communicate only with you, deliver only to you, and never contact the recipient. The reveal is yours.
What if they're turning 50 and I have 50 years of material?
Send it all. We distill the best details into a song that captures the person, not a biography. Quality over quantity, but more material gives us more to work with.
What if I need it fast?
Two separate things, and only one of them costs money. Tell us the party date and we deliver before it or the song is free and you keep it — that comes with every commission. Rush is different: it buys speed, and it is what makes a late order possible at all. +$50 gives your song the next working day and puts it in your hands by 5pm Eastern the day after that; +$100 puts it in your hands by 5pm Eastern tomorrow, orders close at 5pm Eastern, and it is not sold on a Saturday or Sunday because we do not work Sundays. If the party is a week out you do not need either. On a rush order the lyric comes to you first; if we have not heard back in four hours we proceed with it as written so the clock holds.
